Where your mind goes, the energy goes.

If you want to improve your performance in any area the first place to start is with your dream, your vision, your goal, your focus.  The mental aspect is to imagine your success, in as many sensory modalities as possible: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and taste. See your self successfully attaining the goal. Mentally rehearse your success as often as possible.  “Reps, baby, reps”.
